Dedicated to Representing Ward 3 and Building Our Community

Who am I?
I moved to Golden 40 years ago.  It was a different place at that ime.  Our house was on the market for at least 8 months before Bob and I purchased it.  Golden's downtown was struggling financially with several vacant buildings.  The town didn't There wasn't a golf course or the Community Center.

But, it was a place I knew I wanted to live.  I grew up in a town about the same size as Golden, the youngest of 9 (that teaches the importance of compromise and collaboration!).

Growing up - once I could cross Main Street safely, I could go about anywhere on my own - school, the library, the one park with the swimming pool, downtown.  Golden had that same feel for me -- a beautiful, safe place to live.  I believed the City would make a comeback.   We moved in.  I spent the next many years raising our children here and working in the telecommunications industry in a variety of roles - first line supervisor, individual contributor, expert witness, and senior director.

Even though I have lived here my entire adult life, we may not have met yet.  I look forward to meeting you and learning what is important to you about Golden.  I am here to listen.

Why Am I Running?
I have spent my entire adult life in Golden, living here for 41 years this October.  I love Golden.

I am passionate about retaining that which has made Golden a wonderful place to live, while moving into the future in the best way possible.

I am focused on solutions that find the middle ground by recognizing the value of different perspectives. I value healthy debate, data-based decisions, collaboration, compromise, and transparency.

Join me in shaping a brighter future.

Balanced and Transparent Decision-Making

As a member of City Council, I will do my utmost to ensure conflicting views and priorities are heard, valued, and taken into consideration before key decisions are made.. We all want the best for our town. Finding the best path forward requires time for active listening and sharing honest feedback: it requires give and take.

Fiscal Responsibility

Having arrived in Golden during fiscally tough times, I have seen both a strong economy as well as a challenging economy in Golden. It is critical that Council supports maintaining a healthy local economy while preserving that which is best about Golden. This can be accomplished with fiscally sound budgeting and spending while being mindful of the impact of additional regulations on businesses and individuals alike.
